NEWEST MEMBER OF THE FAMILY
Kaylee Ruth Cole was born April 21, 2008. She weighed 8lbs 8oz. Kaylee spent the first seven weeks in the hospital. She is home with her mom and dad and big brother Jeremiah now. Kaylee came swimming the other day. She is such a beautiful baby, with big blue eyes and dark hair. She looks like a little china doll!

JUST ANOTHER DAY
Mike started his second cycle of chemotherapy this week. As you can see from his picture, he has not only lost some weight, but he also lost his hair. This is a picture of Mike at the doctor's office where he spends a lot of his time these days. The nurses there are great and I really like his doctor as well. Please keep Mike in your thoughts and prayers as he continues with his treatments over the next nine weeks!

WE SURVIVED THE APACHE TRAIL
On Father's Day, Mike and I took Clint, his girlfriend Amber, and SarahBeth on a drive through the Superstition Mountains along the Apache Trail. We wanted Amber to have a chance to see some of the landscape of Arizona before she went back to Georgia. This was the first time I had ever made the drive as well! The scenery was beautiful. It turned out to be a fun and memorable afternoon.

Austin's Baptism
One of the highlights of my summer was attending Austin's Baptism on Saturday, May 24th. There was such a sweet spirit to the service. I thought back to the baptisms of each of my own three children and remembered the feelings I experienced. It is such a relief as a parent to know your children are making good decisions. I could see the emotions in Mike's face as well. Amy and Andy have done a great job of raising their children!

JEREMIAH'S 2ND BIRTHDAY
Grandpa Mike and Beth were fortunate enough to host Jeremiah's 2nd Birthday. Jeremiah's Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and other special guest were in attendance. Everyone had a lot of fun playing at the park and then enjoyed hamburgers and hot dogs with all the "fixins". After lunch, Jeremiah blew the candles out from his "Horsey Cake" and opened his presents. It was a great day!
